Question:

We would like to infect approximately 10^6 cells at an moi = 3 and need to know something about the titer.

  1. Do you have any idea how the protein concentration of your prep corresponds to plaque forming units on normal diploid fibroblasts? If not...how about a correlation between protein concentration and expression of IE1 and Ie2 by immunoflouresence?
  2. Do you have any idea how clean this gradient purified preparation is in terms of potentially contaminating cellular debris?
  3. Is the HCMV glycoprotein B antibody you sell effective in neutralizing virus infectivity?

Resolution:

The virus we sell is generally for antigenic purposes only - it is supplied inactivated.

Purity estimates range from 10 - 25%.

The CMV gB Mab (CA005-100) we sell is NOT neutralizing.
