I am interested in the following:

• Purified CMV
• CMV Infected cell extract

Which one of the above is CMV antigen-purified? It looks like the cell extract has virus and fibroblast mashed together. Does the purified cmv mean antigen or whole virus??? Can you give me more information? 

Resolution:

The "Purified CMV" cat. no. CV046 is sucrose density purified virus that has been detergent disrupted after purification. The CMV Infected cell extract cat. no. CV001 is a sonicated infected (fibroblast) cell extract that has been "enriched" for viral proteins. There is a 4 - 16 fold higher use dilution in ELISA when using the purified material. Also, reactivity to nonstructural proteins is diminished when using the purified virus.
