IgM Antibody Purification - 50 ml ascites/1000 ml TC
Client supplied ascites or 0.45 µm clarified tissue culture supernatant is purified by various standard chromatographic methodologies. ELISA is used to document the depletion of antibody from all column effluents. The final purified antibody is assayed for protein concentration and examined for purity by coomassie stained SDS-PAGE. Greater than 95% purity is typical. |

Process yield is affected by a number of factors, including antibody species, isotype and secretion characteristics of the hybridoma being used for the antibody production. We document full recovery of the antibody that is supplied but cannot make specific guarantees regarding the absolute mass of protein to be recovered. Somewhat typical values may range from 1 – 3 milligrams per milliliter of ascites and 20 – 50 micrograms per milliliter of tissue culture supernatant. |
