HHV-8 Western Strips (ICE) - 10/tube + MW Marker

These strips are intended for use in screening antibody reactivity toward viral proteins. This assay is for Research Use Only and is not intended for diagnostic use in humans or animals.

Materials Provided

Ten (10) Nitrocellulose Strips containing electrophoresed, inactivated antigen

One (1) Molecular Weight indicator strip from same electrophoresis run as the test strips

Storage and Stability

Strips should be stored at -20°C or below for optimal stability. Use before the expiration date printed on the label.

Materials Required but not Provided

Primary antibody recognizing viral antigens.

Wash buffer (normally Phosphate Buffered Saline – 0.05% Tween-20 pH 7.4 – PBST20)

Secondary antibody recognizing species/isotype of primary antibody

Antibody diluent (normally PBST20 plus 5% normal serum of secondary antibody species. For example goat anti-mouse IgG-AP diluted in PBST20 5% normal goat serum)

Substrate for secondary antibody enzyme

Detection system for converted substrates

Containers appropriate for 3 mm x 62 mm western strips (15 ml centrifuge tube or multichannel tray)
