Purpose

To describe the formulation of 5M Sodium Chloride.

Procedure

1. Add 292 grams Sodium Chloride to 800 ml DI water.
2. Stir for one hour at room temperature.
3. Incubate in 37°C water bath for 30 minutes and resume stirring to dissolve last bit of solid material.
4. Qs to 1000 ml with DI water.
5. Decant to screw-cap container, label with contents, lot number and one year expiration date.
6. Store at room temperature.
